Description

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our history topic on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, we are giving the children a hands on experience to help understand life as an Anglo-Saxon and Viking through an immersive day. This will take place on Friday 23rd January.  This will be the third year we have booked our visiting historian who brings with him a vast array of artefacts and weaponry along with a wealth of knowledge to engage the children and consolidate their learning.

In order for this event to take place, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £7.50 per child to cover the cost. Please pay online via Parentmail- Login - IRIS ParentMail

Children will be encouraged to come dressed as an Anglo-Saxon or Viking on the day, although this is not compulsory.  The costume can simply be an oversized plain t-shirt worn over leggings or school trousers tied with rope or a belt or a plain dress over a t-shirt.  Please do not feel it necessary to spend money on an outfit.  Attached are some ideas to help.

Many thanks for your support
