Description

Dear Reception Parents/Carers,

We are very excited to invite you into school on Wednesday 15th October at 9am to come and see your child's phonics in action and work with them in the classroom.

Phonics is vital learning in school to support your child in their reading journey.

We will begin the morning with a short presentation in the hall explaining what you can expect to see in the classrooms, how we teach phonics in our school and what you can do to support at home. There will also be the opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about your child's reading.

You will then be able to go to your child's classroom where you can watch them take part in a short part of their phonics lesson before spending time with them on a range of phonics activities and games.

We will aim to be finished around 9:45.

We hope to see lots of you there. Please come to the main entrance of the KS1 building after dropping your child into school.
