Permission

Permission is required for this trip. Please use Parentmail to give your permission for your child to attend / participate.

The trip has been thoroughly planned and carefully risk assessed by the trip leader, our Educational Visits Coordinator and by Miss Lally. A copy of the risk assessment is available upon request.

Please note: by consenting to your child attending the trip you are consenting to them travelling in staff cars.

The children in Lavender class will be given lots of information to prepare them for the trip including the use of social stories, role-playing road safety and use of Widget symbols on the trip to ensure full understanding of all safety rules and instructions. There is a very high adult: child ratio on this trip of 3 adults for 8 children.

Voluntary Contributions

This trip is to enhance our curriculum and we are relying on parental contributions to enable to trip / experience to take place. We would appreciate you paying a voluntary donation of £10 to cover part of the cost of this trip – the school is paying all transport costs.

Please note, if insufficient voluntary contributions are received, regrettably, this visit may have to be cancelled. The total cost of the trip is divided equally by all children in Lavender class and the school budget cannot make up significant shortfalls in voluntary contributions.

Please pay this amount via our ParentMail online payment system here https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk/#core/login or log in to your Parentmail mobile app. Payment to be received by 3.10.25

Lunch arrangements

Children will need a packed lunch for this trip. HAT catering can provide a sandwich lunch for free for all children but these must be requested online using the School Grid system by the midnight of Wednesday of the week before.

If children bring their own packed lunch, it should be in a disposable carrier bag with a maximum of 2 drinks (no glass bottles and no fizzy drinks), healthy snacks only please and no nuts due to allergies.

Yours sincerely,

Carla Murphy

Trip leader
