Y1 Kings and Queens day

Year 1 - Kings and Queens Topic

As part of our history topic, we would like to invite all Year 1 children to dress up as kings/queens, princes/princesses, a servant or any royal role, on WEDNESDAY 16th JUNE 2025.

Please remember to ensure children wear suitable and safe footwear for school and for playtimes. Children should not wear anything precious, which might get lost or accidentally damaged.  We will be making crowns in school and walking to Jeyes to see the Royal Room in the afternoon – this visit is covered by our local area visits policy so you will not need to sign / give consent.

In addition, each child will be designing and building a castle that day.  If you can collect tubes (kitchen rolls), small boxes and corrugated / thin cardboard and bring it into school between now and Wednesday 16th, that would be very helpful.  No plastic please.
