Y3 Ancient Egyptian Day
Description
Dear Parents/Carers,
Our History topic this term is Ancient Egyptians, and we are having an Ancient Egyptian day on Thursday 9th February where the children will take part in a range of art, drama and history activities designed to help them to consolidate their knowledge of this period in history.
In addition, we would like the children to dress up as Ancient Egyptians, this could be a white t-shirt over trousers with a belt. Please do not feel the need to buy anything especially for the day. One of the activities will be to make part of their costume so if children just wear their school uniform, then this is perfectly fine.
To end the day, we would like to invite parents/carers to join us from 3pm so that the children can share with you what they have made and learnt over the course of this day as well as a short drama performance.
There is no cost for this workshop as it being run by school staff and funded through the school’s own budget. However, to help the day run smoothly we would like to request parent helpers to join us for the morning only. Please complete this form if you are able to be a volunteer for this.
Thank you
The Year 3 Team
Dear Year 3 parents,
Your children are still having their planned Ancient Egypt day during STEM week!
Year 3 parents are welcome to come to the KS2 hall at 3pm to see the children’s Ancient Egyptian drama- their history work and STEM week work will also be displayed.
If you have more than one child in school, please visit Y3 in the hall first and then your other children in their classrooms.
